COMPOSITION: EACH ML CONTAINS
Flunixin Meglumine USP equivalent to Flunixin 50 mg
Phenol B.P.: 0.5% W/V (as preservative)
Water for injection B.P. : q.s.
INDICATIONS :
In Cattle,sheep,coat,camel: For the control of acute inflammation associated with respiratory disease. Flunixin Injection has also been shown to have some benefit in the treatment of experimental acute bovine pulmonary emphysema (fog fever). This injection may be used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of acute mastitis.
In Horse: For the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculo-skeletal disorders. For the alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic in the horse.
In Pig: For use as an adjunction therapy in the treatment of swine respiratory diseases.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Cattle, Sheep, Goat and Camel: 1.1 mg to 2.2 mg Flunixin per kg body weight or 1 to 2 ml of Flunichem injection per 45 kg body weight given by slow intravenous or intramuscular administration. The total dose should not exceed 2.2mg/kg of body weight. Repeat if necessary at 24 hours intervals up to 5 consecutive days. The recommended dose for bovine mastitis is 2.2mg/kg body weight given once by slow intravenous administration or intramuscular. Repeat if necessary at 24 hours intervals up to 5 consecutive days.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Animals must not be slaughtered for
human consumption during treatment.
Cattle : 5 Days from the last treatment.
Horse : 7 Days from the last treatment.
Pig : 22 Days from the last treatment.
STORAGE:
STORE AWAY FROM HEAT AND DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
STORE CONTROLED ROOM TEMPERATURE NOT EXCEEDING 25C.
